Nate Wilson, Director of Spirits, gave Robin and Dalia a tasting of classic of modern cocktails featuring a Southern favorite, the ever-delicious bourbon.
Bourbon is having a moment. Not only does the spirit pair well with barbecue, but a bottle of the good stuff makes a great gift idea. The Zest host Robin Sussingham and producer Dalia Colón recently headed to Tampa’s Epicurean Hotel to meet Nathaniel “Nate” Wilson. He’s the Director of Spirits for Bern’s Steak House and its sister properties, including the Epicurean Hotel and it’s EDGE Rooftop Cocktail Lounge, and Haven. Nate has more than 25 years in hospitality and joined the Bern’s team in 2006.
The Zest team had an amazing time in the Elevage Restaurantwith Nate as he taught them the bourbon basics, offered tips for choosing an affordable-yet-impressive bottle of the spirit, and shared some refreshing bourbon cocktail recipes that you’ll want to keep handy all summer long.
